At Farming Wonder, our journey from the inception of the Wonder Multistorey Garden has been one of growth, service, and deep, meaningful connections with our clients. Among these cherished relationships is our bond with Tracy Wairimu from Utawala, Nairobi, who has become a testament to the transformative power of our innovation.
Tracy, with her unwavering compassion for vulnerable children, has been a beacon of hope in her community. Using our Wonder Multistorey Gardens, she has been supplying fresh vegetables to a nearby children’s home, but her desire to do more led her to partner with us in a remarkable initiative.
Together, we embarked on a mission to install 10 multistorey gardens at New Beginning Children’s Home in Utawala. Founded in 2018 by Director Daniel Kiilu, the home started with just three children and has since grown to care for 92, ranging from 2 to 17 years old. These children, coming from backgrounds of total or partial orphanhood, abandonment, or abuse, are provided with shelter, education, and care through the generous support of well-wishers.
Our collaboration with New Beginning Children’s Home went beyond mere installation. We had the privilege of training and working alongside these incredible children, preparing them to take the reins as the next generation of farmers. The joy in their eyes as they planted their first seeds was unparalleled, and we look forward to the day when they harvest their crops and bring them to the dining table.
At Farming Wonder, we take immense pride in our ability to make a positive impact on our planet, no matter how small. We are driven by the belief that “there are many wonderful things which will not be done in this world if you don’t do them.” Through our work, we hope to inspire others
